York Symphony Orchestra's season premieres with epic dance works of prized composers from the past to the present. Tchaikovsky’s legendary ballet, Swan Lake, is based on Russian folk tales and infuses resonant tones with an unprecedented level of musical depth for ballets at its inception. Another cherished Russian piece, Rachmaninoff’s Symphonic Dances, steers the listener through three distinctive movements— foreboding, ghostly surrealism, and the last struggle. Audiences will also enjoy the vivacious and colorful musical sounds of Guggenheim Fellow Gabriela Lena Frank’s Three Latin-American Dances.

Artistic director of the Camerata Orphica and founder of the International Music Academy Orpheus in Vienna, renowned Italian violinist Mario Hossen performed Golan's Fantasia in concert at Udine, Italy's acclaimed Museo Casa Cavazzini on March 17th.


Russian pianist Daria Rabotkina, Mark Kosower, principal cellist of the Cleveland Orchestra, and clarinetist Anelique Poteat guest on the Classical Series,  and songsmith Dee Daniels, Mexico's Villalobos Brothers are among the season's guest artists in Yakima Symphony's multi-storied exciting 2019-20 season!
